Our Partners
Throughout our history, in the present, and whatever lies ahead, we acknowledge God’s ability and provision for us. We believe the biblical model of ministry is one that is to function with the people of God, being led by and filled with God, accomplishing His mission to His glory.
Through that journey, ministry is done alongside people. We are grateful for these—the partners—He has intersected with Ebenezer. This is not a comprehensive list. These are some who have—and continue to—actively advocate and support what God is doing through Ebenezer. Additonally, each provides a unique way to get involved in supporting the ministry.
Fire Over Africa
Since the opening of ESDA’s first home, Ebenezer Grace Children’s Home (EGCH), U.S. non-profit, Fire Over Africa (FOA), has partnered in ministry in various capacities. In 2016–with the partnership of other agencies and organizations–a school feeding program was implemented in drought effected areas of southern Ethiopia. By the end of 2016, more than 8,000 children in five schools were being fed on a daily basis. By the end of 2018, the number of children fed daily has increased to more than 31,700 from 51 schools!
FOA has been integral in keeping children in schools and fed through creating awareness of the need and fundraising on their behalf. Founder and President, Dr. Gary Munson, along with his wife, Felecia, have been–and continue to be–tremendous friends and partners in ministry.
Sela Designs
“I am passionate about helping people and this is how I can put action to my words. One of my favorite sayings is ‘Be the change you hope to see in the world’ - I live by those words. There is much work that needs to be done in this world and I want to be a part of feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, caring for the orphans and helping the poor.” - Ashleigh Becker of Sela Designs
We are grateful that Ashleigh has chosen to direct a portion of the proceeds from her handmade jewelry shop, Sela Designs, to support the ministry of ESMA.
The designs featured above are derived from a collaborative effort with Tragic Hope Apparel designer, Zach Lezniewicz. She has many wonderful designs and pieces. Click the image/link to visit her online store.
The Table Initiative
“WHERE COMPASSION AND JUSTICE MEET.”
Over the past years, God has used individuals and teams from The Table Intiative (formerly One Child Campaign) in tremendous ways to be the eyes and voices for those ESMAfrica serves. In the past, they have brought groups of talented and professional photographers, videographers, and storytellers to share a glimpse of our collective story.
We love their vision statement… “To shed light on the social justice issues of our time and inspire others to engage, understand, humanize, and advocate for these causes within their own communities. To be generative, not exploitative.”
Awakenings Coffee House
A partnership between Awakenings Coffee House founders, Jeff and Ashley Larsen, and ESMAfrica formed after their family visited Ethiopia in 2015. During that trip, they came to EGCH. After their visit, God gave the Larsens a desire to partner and support the ministry of ESMAfrica through their new establishment, Awakenings. Along with our ministry, they support other ministries internationally and in their local community of Boise, Idaho.
ESMA is a 501c3 U.S. non-profit organization and your donation or sponorship is tax-deductible to the fullest extent the law allows.
