Yakob

Pronounced: YAH-k’ohb

Yakob, whom the staff refer to as “tinish conjo” meaning “tiny beautiful” in Amharic. He was abandoned at a few days old and found by police. Shortly after he was found, a couple asked if they could adopt him. However, soon after the couple took him in, they decided that they didn’t want him and stopped caring for him properly. Coming into the care of Lantu’s Home, Yakob was severely malnourished.

He is now healthy and thriving. He’s often the first one to greet guests when they visit Lantu’s Home. :)
